My name is Param Patel, and I am a hardworking and passionate Aerospace Engineering student with a minor in Computer Science studying at Texas A&M University. Through my experiences in undergraduate research and design teams, I have gained hands-on experience and technical knowledge on research, design, manufacturing, testing, and documenting the engineering process. Furthermore, through these experiences, I have gained teamwork and leadership experience.
Currently, I am researching at the National Aerothermochemistry and Hypersonic Laboratory, where I am developing a sensor for the Hypervelocity Expansion Tunnel (HXT) to detect when the vacuum is active. Additionally, I have created a compressible aerodynamics calculator in Python. In another research project at the Immersive Mechanics Visualization Laboratory, I am implementing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models into a VR environment using Unity Engine for educational purposes.
Between my schooling, research, and involvement in student organizations, I have worked on several projects. My most recent non-school-related project is the Souls Dungeon Game, which I am currently developing with another undergraduate. This game is inspired by the Souls series and features challenging combat mechanics, intricate level design, and a rich storyline. My role as a co-developer involves game design and development using Unity Engine, collaborating on storyline and character creation, implementing core gameplay features and user interface elements, and conducting testing and debugging to ensure smooth gameplay. Through this project, I have honed my skills in C#/C++, game design, teamwork, and problem-solving.
A shortlist of valuable skills I possess.
Python, C++, C#, MATLAB
ANSYS, LabView, Unity
