Dr. Param D. Gajbhiye is an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay, where he works under the guidance of Prof. Nitesh Yelve in the Wave Lab. Prior to this, he completed his PhD in Civil Engineering at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, specializing in flexural analysis of laminated and sandwich composite structures using advanced shear deformation theories. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Karad, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
Dr. Gajbhiye’s research interests include composite materials and structures, thermomechanical shells, buckling and vibration analysis, computational mechanics, and higher-order shear deformation theories. With a strong background in teaching and research, he has served as an Assistant Professor at Sinhgad Institute of Technology and has contributed to graduate and doctoral courses on structural analysis and composite materials.
His academic accomplishments are complemented by a robust publication record in leading journals and conferences, alongside his roles as a reviewer for prestigious journals and editor for engineering book series. Dr. Gajbhiye’s long-term goal is to advance research and teaching in the field of structural and computational mechanics.
