This course is taught in person over 3 fast-paced weeks—think of it as a paramedic bootcamp, minus the push-ups (unless you’re into that).
We begin the first week of January (Winter) or June (Summer)—new year, new knowledge, new reasons to love ECGs.
You’ll be learning alongside your peers—and me! We’re all in this together, learning, growing, and occasionally wondering if the sympathetic nervous system ever takes a day off.
Assignments will be submitted either on Canvas or in person. If it’s not on Canvas, it’s probably in your hands.
The course includes 8 learning modules. A set will unlock like little educational gifts each Friday at 12pm, one week in advance. There are daily quizzes (yay…) and one final exam (double yay!).
Attendance is crucial to your success—but I know life happens. Whether it’s kids, work, or your cat deleting your notes, I’ll do my best to work with you if something comes up.
Lecture will cover anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, drug calculations, electrophysiology, and pharmacology. Basically, everything that makes paramedics sound smart at parties.
Lab is your hands-on zone! It’s where you’ll sharpen your EMT skills and begin learning paramedic-level interventions. Solid EMT skills are the foundation—advanced skills are the goal. Let’s build both.
