Effective Date: May 30, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how PappasApps LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal information of users ("you" or "user") of the Serenity Now mobile application (the "Application"). This Application is offered as a freemium service.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our Application and services. The types of information we collect are:
a) Information You Provide Directly:
Account Information (Optional): Registration directly with us is optional for certain features. If you choose to register or contact us, you may provide us with information such as your email address or other contact details.
Subscription Information (via App Stores and RevenueCat): When you subscribe to premium features, you will use your Google Play account (for Android users) or Apple account (for iOS users). We use RevenueCat to manage these subscriptions. RevenueCat receives transaction data from Google/Apple (e.g., order ID, subscription status, product purchased) and provides us with information like your subscription status, user ID (which may be an anonymized ID from the app store or an ID you provide), and purchase history to manage your access. We do not receive or store your payment card details; this is handled by Google or Apple.
Communications: If you contact us for support or provide feedback, we will collect the information you include in your communications.
b) Information Collected Automatically: When you use the Application, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:
Device Information: Type of mobile device you use, unique device identifiers (such as IDFA for iOS with your consent where required, or Android Advertising ID), IP address, mobile operating system, and device language.
Usage Information: Information about how you use the Application, such as features accessed, time spent in the Application, interactions, crash reports, and performance data. This is often collected using SDKs (Software Development Kits) or APIs.
Information via Supabase: Our backend is hosted on Supabase. Supabase may automatically log IP addresses and other metadata related to requests for security and operational purposes. If you authenticate, Supabase will manage authentication tokens and user identifiers associated with your login (e.g., via Google/Apple sign-in if implemented, or an account you create). Any data you create or store within the app that is saved to the backend (e.g., user preferences, saved content) will be processed by Supabase on our behalf.
Information via Expo: The Application may be built or supported using Expo services. Expo may collect technical data for debugging and improving its services, such as device type, OS version, and error logs.
c) Aggregated and Anonymized Data: We may collect, use, and share aggregated and anonymized data (which does not identify you) for any purpose, including to improve our Application and services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide and Manage the Application: To operate the Application, authenticate users, provide customer support, and manage your subscriptions.
To Improve the Application: To understand how users interact with our Application, identify areas for improvement, fix bugs, and enhance functionality.
To Communicate With You: To respond to your inquiries, send important notices about the Application (e.g., updates to terms or this policy, security alerts), and provide service-related information.
For Marketing (with your consent): Where you have provided consent, we may use your contact information to send you marketing promotions about our Application or related services. You can opt-out of marketing communications at any time (see "Your Rights and Choices" below).
For Security and Legal Compliance: To protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, to respond to a government request, and to comply with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas or similar legal processes).
3. Legal Basis for Processing Your Information (for EEA/UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Performance of a Contract: To provide the Application's services to you, manage your account and subscriptions, and fulfill our terms of service.
Consent: For marketing communications or when we collect certain types of data (e.g., precise location, though we currently do not, or certain device identifiers for advertising if we were to implement them). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Legitimate Interests: For improving our Application, analytics (using aggregated/anonymized data where possible), security, fraud prevention, and to protect our legal rights, provided these interests are not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and legal processes.
4. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Policy:
Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell your personal information).
The right to delete your personal information (subject to exceptions).
The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell your personal information. If our practices change regarding "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will update this policy).

6. Data Retention
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with our legal obligations (e.g., for tax and accounting purposes), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your User Provided Data, please contact us at contact@pappasapps.com. We will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required for the Application to function properly, and deleting it may impact your ability to use certain features.
7. Children's Privacy
The Application is not intended for or directed to children under the age of 16 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction that requires parental consent). We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under this age. If we discover that a child under this age has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such information from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@pappasapps.com so that we can take necessary actions.
8. Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and take reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve our Application. We also rely on the security measures of our third-party service providers (Google, Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, Expo).
However, please be aware that no security system can prevent all potential security breaches. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and within the Application. For material changes, we may also provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-app notification or email if we have your contact information). You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use of the Application after such changes have been made will constitute your acknowledgment of the Gamed changes.
