WE ARE PAPER PONY!

-THE STORY:

Founded in November 2022, Paper Pony brings the ultimate fight and challenge to all musical ears, founded by Captain Chinosi (High School Principal) who plays guitar, ukulele, bass and sings. While walking in the hallway keyboard player (Austin Eliason) & drummer (Aiden Pacini) would run into Captain in the hallways in November of 2022, they would chat about music and how they would love to jam sometime. However the twist would be, Captain was the one auditioning since Aiden & Austin already had a band. The band was made and official on November 10th, 2022

However it wouldn’t be till March of 2023 when the band finally came up with a name (Paper Pony) thanks to a teacher who walked by and saw the band playing and asked what the name of the band was, answer was “we don’t have a name yet”, across from the room is a pony that is cardboarded and constructed out of paper, she said “why not just be the paper pony”. And that’s how it was formed.

The band would go on to do The Shamrock Ball (Unified Dance) on March 17th, 2023. Where they would play Nuevo Leon. Before it had a meaning or anything. The band would play a short 35 second instrumental of the song. The band would spend all of the rest of March and April writing lyrics and coming up with melodies till it finally hit.. When Ramona Walks in!

In May 2023, Paper Pony launched their first song titled “Nuevo Leon (When Ramona Walks In)”, on all streaming services. The song would do massive numbers getting over 260+ views on YouTube, over 1,000+ streams across all services and would be a International hit across the world hitting 85 listeners in Florida. The song would become a legendary piece in PHS history. 

In June 2023, the band would continue to write more music putting out a demo of new song "Get Out & Go" which the demo was released in the last week of May. The band on June 2nd, 2023 would play at 3S Artspace, Downtown Portsmouth for Senior Prom playing Ramona Walks In & Get Out & Go in front of over 60 people. 

As of July 2023 and forward, the band has been working on an album/EP

On December 6th, 2023. Paper Pony will put out their first song in 6 months titled "Burn The Dust".
