When the Papatoetoe Historical Society started in 1988 the most important activity was to gather as much of the district’s history as possible, before it was lost for ever. After 20 years we have collected a wide range of information and artifacts, all of which may be viewed at our museum.

The archives has photographs, books and booklets on many aspects of local history. Covering further afield are plans, posters, maps, and pictures of Auckland and other parts of New Zealand.
