Paola Torres is a Venezuelan photographer based in Bogotá, Colombia. She moved from Venezuela in 2016 to pursue her university studies, a move that became the starting point for a body of work shaped by migration, adaptation, and the search for her own creative voice.
She studied Audiovisual Media with a specialization in Photography at the Politécnico Grancolombiano, where she built a foundation in the conceptual, technical, and aesthetic dimensions of visual storytelling.
Since then, photography has become her language, a way of paying attention to light, to gesture, to the quiet emotional charge of everyday moments. Her images don't chase the extraordinary; they look closely at what's already there, searching for the memory, intimacy, and quiet narratives that live inside a single frame.
Her practice moves between experimentation and observation, always working toward images that feel honest, poetic, feminine, and deeply human.

Paola Torres es una fotógrafa venezolana radicada en Bogotá, Colombia. Llegó desde Venezuela en 2016 para iniciar sus estudios universitarios, un viaje que se convirtió en el punto de partida de un trabajo marcado por la migración, la adaptación y la búsqueda de una voz creativa propia.
Estudió Medios Audiovisuales con especialización en Fotografía en el Politécnico Grancolombiano, donde construyó las bases conceptuales, técnicas y estéticas de la narrativa visual.
Desde entonces, la fotografía se convirtió en su lenguaje: una forma de prestar atención a la luz, al gesto, a esas atmósferas emocionales que aparecen en los momentos más cotidianos. Sus imágenes no persiguen lo extraordinario; miran de cerca lo que ya está ahí, buscando la memoria, la intimidad y las pequeñas narrativas silenciosas que caben en un solo encuadre.
Su práctica se mueve entre la experimentación y la observación cuidadosa, siempre en busca de imágenes honestas, poéticas, femeninas y profundamente humanas.
