In this section, I highlight some of my research interests, not necessarly related to the work I did or I’m currently doing. For most of them, I have taken great inspirarion from the work of my supervisors during these years, to which I own my heartfelt passion for such topics.
Idea: Trying to find algorithms (both AI based and not) to help the screening of patients with early stage cancer to get an early diagnosis, which hopefully leads to increasing the chances of survival.
Idea: Investigating the well-known problem of drug resistance in cancer patients with the use of newer and more powerful AI/ML models.
Idea: Stochastic mathematical modeling of metastatic tumors and expolarations of these pathways (possibly aided with AI tools) in the hope of finding new relationships with the primary tumor.
DISCLAIMER: as an early stage research, I am fully aware of how ambitious these tasks are; however, I’d still like to purse such topics in the hope of making even the tiniest difference in the cancer research community.
