A beautiful day to kayak around the bay in San Diego (2023).
I was born in San Diego, CA but raised in Tijuana, Mexico which is right across the border from San Diego. I graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Physics after transfering from San Diego Mesa Community College where I obtained my A.S. in Physics. And now I'm in the start of my first year of my Ph.D. in Optical Sciences.
Majoring in physics has taken me to work in projects at places I never thought I could perform research at such as Brookhaven National Laboratory, CERN, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. My research interests are in the fields of optics, particle physics, and engineering.
In my free time I enjoy reading all types of books, kayaking, and learning new things! It is always a good day when I learn something new.
Some of my favorite pictures I have taken on my adventures: (top left) at the top of the Empire State Building (2019), (lower left) Stonewall Peak (2021), and (right) Marina District in San Francisco (2022).
