PANTS at Georgia Tech

The Palmetto Number Theory Series (PANTS) is a series of number theory meetings held at colleges and universities in the Southeast since 2006. PANTS XLI will be held from Saturday morning, October 3, to noon Sunday, October 4, at Georgia Tech. 

The conference will take place at the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. The schedule will be announced later. Local information, scheduling, and program will be updated later.

Registration

Registration is free. Please register by 

• September 1st for all international participants

• September 10th for all domestic participants who want to give a talk. 

If you would like to give a 20 minute contributed talk, please submit your title and abstract by September 10th.

PANTS has a limited budget from which to potentially provide (partial) support for travel for some junior participants. In order to stretch our budget, we encourage car pooling and students to share lodging as much as possible.  

PANTS is funded for the 2026-2027 academic year by a grant from the NSA and the NSF.  Refreshments at PANTS XLI are partially supported by the Richard Duke Endowed Fund at the Georgia Tech School of Mathematics.  

Lodging

Participants are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. In order to stretch our budget, we encourage students to share lodging as much as possible. Here are few nearby hotel options:

Parking

Standard all-day visitor parking rates on campus range from $10 to $15 (per parking pass) per vehicle, per exit.  A new parking pass is required each time a vehicle exits and re-enters a visitor parking area. Please see the visitor parking website for exact rates for each parking area. The closest options to Clough are in the southwest parking area. 

Travel

The closest major airport is the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport(ATL). You can take the MARTA train directly from inside the airport to Midtown. Ride share is also available.
