Currently, head bases are ordered from a third party seller. This can be Buyer's choice or Maker's choice and can be discussed when ordering. (We plan to start creating our own when more established and with shop upgrades.)

I make my tails with belt loops to fit adjustable elastic invisible belts: EXAMPLE. This way they can be removed from the body for storage, cleaning, etc.
For heavy/floor dragger tails, a different belt will need to be used for comfort. Examples would be a stiffer belt or kidney belt.
