My research examines sleep and psychosocial factors in the context of physical health, particularly cardiometabolic disease.
I have a dual PhD in Clinical and Biological/Health Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Sleep and Social Factors Lead Coordinator
I am a second-year Master's student and manager of the Sleep and Social Factors study. I am completing my thesis with Dr. Pantesco, investigating how natural variations in sleep health relate to college students’ ability to utilize cognitive reappraisal to reduce the experience of sadness. I am particularly interested in studying why disturbed sleep confers increased risk for depression. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to further study the mechanisms underlying depression.
Heart and Blood Pressure Challenge Lead Coordinator
I am a senior undergraduate student with majors in Comprehensive Science and Psychology. I currently lead and coordinate the Heart and Blood Pressure Response to Challenge study.
After completing my undergraduate career, I plan to attend a Direct-Entry Nurse Practitioner Program and complete the psychiatric track in order to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am a senior undergraduate student in the Biological Sciences Department. I am assisting with a study examining how ambulatory blood pressure measurements correlate with blood pressure responses to in-lab stressors. I also currently support the Heart and Blood Pressure Response to Challenge study.
