Bio

My name is Panteleimon Angelidis. I am one of the Co-Founders of factual, a research project focused on building NLP software to validate information. In the private sector, I work as a Consultant @Deloitte Nordics.

I pursue an M.Eng. at National Technical University of Athens, in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and I hold a B.Sc. graduate of Finance, at the University of Macedonia.

My valued partners and I came up with the idea of factual with the vision of developing NLP solutions for a fact-driven world, targeting disinformation at source.

factual’s Chrome extension aims to utilise SOTA NLP techniques and LLMs to cross validate sources. factual’s algorithm evaluates the credibility in accordance with predefined standards, conformes with professional fact-checking standards. The factors it considers include the news source and its credibility, the language and grammar of the content analyzed, the subjectivity, the origin of sources, and the likelihood of false/manufactured content, images and/or videos. Tweets are analysed based on fact checking standards and then scored for their credibility.
