This circular panoramic view of Versailles was painted at Kingston, New York, and New York City between 1818 and 1819. Vanderlyn used numerous sketches (Senate House Museum, Kingston, New York) that he had made at Versailles in 1814. The perspective was carefully adjusted to the circular shape. The painting was originally intended for display in the Rotunda built by Vanderlyn in 1818 at the northeast corner of City Hall Park in New York. Its showing there was not as successful as Vanderlyn had wished. In search of some profit, Vanderlyn toured intermittently with the panorama until his death. The artist depicted himself pointing out Czar Alexander I and King Frederick William II of Prussia to the right of the Basin de Latone.

This paper offers a "panoramic" analysis of the history of financial crises dating from England's fourteenth-century default to the current United States sub-prime financial crisis. Our study is based on a new dataset that spans all regions. It incorporates a number of important credit episodes seldom covered in the literature, including for example, defaults and restructurings in India and China. As the first paper employing this data, our aim is to illustrate some of the broad insights that can be gleaned from such a sweeping historical database. We find that serial default is a nearly universal phenomenon as countries struggle to transform themselves from emerging markets to advanced economies. Major default episodes are typically spaced some years (or decades) apart, creating an illusion that "this time is different" among policymakers and investors. A recent example of the "this time is different" syndrome is the false belief that domestic debt is a novel feature of the modern financial landscape. We also confirm that crises frequently emanate from the financial centers with transmission through interest rate shocks and commodity price collapses. Thus, the recent US sub-prime financial crisis is hardly unique. Our data also documents other crises that often accompany default: including inflation, exchange rate crashes, banking crises, and currency debasements.

Is it possible to view a score in MuseScore in a panoramic (horizontal) view, rather than the default vertical view? So that the bars just continue to the right instead of 'word wrapping' to the next stave? I can not seem to find this option in the menus.

I'm pretty sure a "panoramic" room is the same exact room but on a higher floor. I was under the impression the windows were bigger and therefore more to see outside, but it's just the floor designation.

Had both, loved both. Yes Panoramic are same just the higher rooms. I've never been there and had a noise issue. Dunno what days you'll be there, but if it's a Fri or Sat night, maybe request away from the strip views.

Currently, no ideal database exists that addresses challenges around these challenges and researchers must decide which aspects of their research to focus. This initiative aims to address many of these challenges by blending the most salient features into self-contained databases, providing a panoramic view of patient care and enhancing resources to conduct PCOR and CER.
