Currently I am a fifth year Graduate Student at Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. My research interest lies in Number Theory. I am currently working in Analytic Number Theory under the supervision of Prof. K Mallesham.
My master's project was based on proving the prime number theorem. I have discussed Arithmetic Functions, Riemann Zeta function before proving PNT. There are several open problems in Number Theory, which are easier to state but no one has been able to crack it. In the Seminar course, I presented on Arithmetic Function which marked as the begining of my number theory journey.

One such problem is the existence of twin primes. Obviously there exists many twin primes for example 3,5 ; 5,7 ; 11,13..... . But how many such pairs exists? Are there only finitely many such pairs or there are infinitely many?
Another conjecture, which is called Goldbach's Conjecture states that Every even natural number can be written as the sum of two primes. Yet another 'Easier to state, but difficult to crack' problem !
