A builders cleaning service is usually performed in 2 stages (initial and final clean). Single free standing homes usually only need the final clean to be done.
The Initial Clean
Removal of cardboard or paper protection that was used inside the building during construction and building works.
Vacuum dust from every area, paying particular attention to spaces behind the boiler, basins, pipes, and inside the airing cupboard (should include cylinder, platform, and slatted shelves). Generally clean inside and outside of cupboards.
Sweep, scrub, and scrape all staircases floors when necessary.
Clean all doors and walls, removing every trace of mortar. Any apparent damages before the clean up must be immediately reported to the site project manager.
Cleaning down all pipes and gutters.
Removal of all manufacturer labels and stickers using a soaking method that does not involve abrasives from all sanitary ware. Any scratches or damages must first be reported to a site manager before cleaning commences.
Wash away marks off walls (certain marks might not come off and a re-paint may be required).
Dust and wash garage doors. Dust, wash and remove sundry paint spots and marks with care from switches and electrical sockets (clean every electrical fitting).
Clean all kitchens units outside and inside, along with appliances which will include the removal of labels from appliances and units, floor tiles, fireplace surrounds, and wall tiles.
Remove all plaster from floors that will interfere with the final flooring installation. Keep in mind, that it is not always possible to remove paint effectively from surfaces that are porous like wood flooring or chipboard.
Reasonable care should be executed to protect flooring that is tiled from excessive paint and grout.
Clean and polish railings to balconies.
Clean the top parts of architraves and door heads.
Aluminium and wooden window frames should be cleaned internally and buffed.
Buff and polish wall tiling to en-suites, cloakrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens which includes the removal of any excess grout on walls and tiles.
Clean and sweep all cycle/bin stores along with pump-room floors which include every item mentioned above.
Polish and clean all the consumer units which include the top parts of these consumer units
