Mrs. Diltz Educational Philosophy

I believe education is the best tool any person could have, especially children. Education will help guide the necessary steps in fluency, vocabulary, and later into comprehension. I do believe all children can learn with any special ability. It takes patience, rapport, and willingness to help build confidence of success. I want to ensure quiet time is provided along with active time. Cultural diversity is only going to grow in the United States and students need to be accepting of those that are different. Establishing understanding of acceptance will create harmony in the classroom and for the future. Confrontations will occur amongst students and I will be available to help them navigate in a cordial manner.

The basic foundational skills will be part of the curriculum along with incorporating critical thinking and problem solving skills. Many responsibilities of a teacher are structured but it is also important to be able to adapt to unexpected situations that will arise. Students will make mistakes but as a part of my role, students will understand mistakes can be corrected. At times it is okay to laugh at our mistakes; laughter is the best medicine. My philosophy will push students to find their passions, practice with technology, and think critically. Students will enjoy your class if it's safe, comfort, and inviting from day one. So let us push towards having a great school year, every year.
