Class Descriptions:

Mondays

Writers Workshop: Do you enjoy writing stories? Want to write, read, listen, and share your writing with others? We will spend time doing directed writing activities that are exciting and open up new, creative ways of writing. We will also share our work with others, and think about how we can learn from and give advice to each other. This class is taught by Nick, who has experience working with the New England Literature Program. He is excited to bring his passion and knowledge of writing to students at AAO. This class is most appropriate for students in grades 2 and up. 

Tuesdays

Game Makers: Do you love sports and PE games? Like thinking about what makes a game fun or challenging? Join Nick as you play old favorites and try out new gym games. You’ll spend time playing games, talking about what aspects of the game make it fun, changing the rules and seeing what happens, and even having the chance to create your own games. This class is perfect for active kids who like thinking about how things work.

Wednesdays

LEGO Land: Join others who love LEGO as much as you! Free build, do design challenges, and work together to build new and amazing things. Add extra LEGO time to your week with Chrissy!

Thursdays

Indoor Outdoor Art: Calling all crafters! Join Chrissy as you explore art in the natural world and design  cool paper projects inside. This class will be the best of both worlds as you explore a variety of ways to make art.
