In 2015, the Regent of Malang, Dr. H. Rendra Kresna in Village Development activities in Lawang District once felt his interest in avocados cultivated by Wonorejo residents. At that time his name was still Avocado Arjuno. He gave the name Pameling to the Wonorejo avocado is intended so that everyone who sees and feels the deliciousness of this avocado will continue to remember it. "Ter-eling-eling" (always remember) was one of the appropriate names according to the number 1 person in Malang Regency at that time so that people are always easy to remember and can be excellent among other fruits.

As time goes by, avocado pameling is in great demand by the public, starting from its taste and size, so there needs to be special handling, both in the area for development and industrial and market scale corporations. The Makmur Mandiri Cooperative is a partnership platform that was specially established to accommodate the harvest of avocado farmers in Wonorejo. Currently, the Cooperative is intensively trading fresh fruit, currently focusing on serving the local market. In the future, we will not only market avocado pameling products locally. regionally, but also export them to foreign countries. The ultimate goal is that avocado pameling can be a solution for today's agriculture (horticulture), in particular, it can change the welfare of avocado farmers in Wonorejo Malang.

The following is the history of the development of avocado pameling in Wonorejo:

• On January 29, 2019, avocado pameling was inaugurated as a local variety in Malang Regency by the ministry of agriculture, the center for plant variety protection and agricultural licensing

• On December 19, 2019, the Pameling avocado breeder was certified as a seed producer by the UPT agriculture and food security service. Supervision and certification of seeds of food crops and horticulture

• In 2017 avocado pameling won 2nd place in the national superior fruit contest held in the framework of PENAS in Aceh

• On March 14, 2020, avocado pameling won 2nd place at the Asian Agriculture and Food Forum (ASAFF) organized by the Association of Indonesian Farmers Harmony (HKTI)

• On September 3, 2020 the Pameling Avocado Garden (GAPOKTAN NAKULO) was inaugurated by Mr. Syahrul Yasin Limpo, the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture as a national superior product and ministry souvenir.
