EDUCATION AND CAREER
From 2006 to 2009, Pamela Usukumah attended SUNY Stony Brook, focusing her education on Business Management, Sociology and Japanese Studies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude. From 2010 to 2013, Pamela Usukumah continued her studies at Harvard where she went on to earn her J.D. During this time, Pamela Usukumah also had the opportunity to travel abroad to Tokyo, Japan where she studied International Business and Trade for a year at Keio University.
Upon completing her studies at Harvard, Pamela Usukumah established her professional career as an Associate with Weil Gotshal & Manges. She has also completed extensive pro bono work with Weil Gotshal & Manges, earning Pro Bono Service Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Currently, as an Associate with Covington & Burling LLP, Pamela Usukumah provides strategic advice to global companies throughout Europe and the United States on a wide range of complex cross-border corporate matters. These matters include topics such as:

CHEERLEADING COACH
Outside of her professional career in business, Pamela Usukumah enjoys staying active and challenging herself through cheerleading and gymnastics. Both of these sports require a great level of skill and strength combining physical and mental toughness. Watching athletes perform cheerleading and gymnastics at the highest levels is very inspiring to Pamela Usukumah. While studying and working as a research assistant at Harvard, Pamela Usukumah also stood as cheerleading coach, helping her girls earn high achievements and personal bests at NCA College Nationals.
TRAVEL
Pamela Usukumah has always held a strong passion for travel and culture. While in school, she studied Japanese language and culture. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan at Keio University where she was able to improve her language skills and learn more about Japan's history and culture. Since returning to the United States, Pamela Usukumah has been eager to continue her travels and return to Japan and other Asian countries such as:
