Please fill out the form below if you would like to volunteer to help with making cloth masks (sewing, cutting fabric, bending wire, donating fabric/materials, etc), 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC milling, or other kinds of PPE creation efforts.
After you fill out the form you will be contacted by the Idaho or Washington leads heading up different efforts to get you involved in the creation process.
These efforts are all volunteer based through grassroots efforts in communities. Some makers are using their personal supplies and some are supplied with donations. We have a Gofundme (https://www.gofundme.com/f/palouse-open-source-covid19-medical-supplies) set up to help finance the cost of these efforts and are actively seeking partnerships with local businesses and granting agencies. Any monies donated go to pay for filament, clear shielding, fabric, elastic, etc to keep our maker movement going through the pandemic. If any donation remains at the end of this pandemic, it will be donated to maker education in local schools.
Any other volunteers, questions, comments, or requests can be routed through the form below or can directed to PalouseOSCMS@gmail.com or you can call/text Shishona Turner at 208-596-9647. We need local community volunteers to help coordinate making in your community, help with distribution, and to act as couriers.
