By Profession, I am a software developer, passionate about web development, computer graphics and data visualization. Outside of work, I like to engage myself in many indoor/outdoor activities. I like to keep adding new skills to my acquired ones. Check out some of my art!

Being an art lover and a software developer, I was always fascinated by the field of computer graphics and game development. During my masters, I got to work on some exciting games like Space Invaders and mini golf. I also got an opportunity to perform some virtual reality experiments using Oculus Rift for Epic Games. My passion was further fueled by internship at PlayStation. That was one heck of an experience.

I also wanted to get a taste of PhD study, so I decided to follow a research track during my masters. Neck deep into thesis work was just what I needed to understand how five years of my life would look if I decided to pursue a doctorate. I worked on an ongoing research on recommendation system in visual data representation and my visualization journey started. I chose this topic for my thesis and dissertation for masters. The amount of work that went into seeing this project to completion of its first stage was rewarding. We managed to submit a paper on this research at SIGMOD'16 conference.

The thesis project also helped me brush up my skills in web development and apply them to build front end of the software. I was happy to get a complete autonomy in developing the front end and I feel proud of the stage at which it has reached. It is working nicely with our previously built back end (that was using a commercial software for front end) and it is all set for demonstration and further experiments.

I got some more exposure to web development by working in NCSU's College of Natural Resources, developing a website for their grants database. The project involved developing a database of information about all the grants offered to students by multiple agencies and building a website to display this database as per user's search terms. It was a small project that taught me Wordpress and PHP.

Front end development really caught my interest after doing these small projects and I jumped into working at a startup in Wisconsin. Even in this cold weather, we are quite agile ;) We use so many different technologies at work here, that I always leave out at least a couple of them. But here's a more formal resume of mine.
