Great planning for an Exploration has 3 parts:
1) Timeline: to plan your 3 learning
2) Time sheet: to record what you actually completed
3) Reflections: to reflect on your learning about what you have actually completed versus what you had planned and any progress with your understanding of the topic.
If working with a Partner, make sure you identify in your timeline WHO is doing WHAT. Although there will be one timeline, each partner must do a separate time sheet and reflection.
Planning is crucial to your overall success. Bad planning looks like - very general thing like "Research," "Take Notes," "Write Report" etc. Good planning is specific - "Research the health effects," "Research what other countries do," etc. If you are working with a partner it requires even more detail. eg. "Research what New Zealand is already doing (Tom)" "Meet with my partner at the beginning of the day to go over what we have done and assess if we are on track."
Remember - "Failure to plan is planning to fail."
Planning helps you achieve your goals. There are two types - process and product. Find out more here.
