I had a pretty intense Sailor Moon obsession when I was about 10. It was on at 6 am and I got up extra extra early every day so I could watch it before school. Sailor Mercury was my favorite because she was so smart AND had awesome short blue hair.
I think slumber parties should be a thing for people past like 40 years of age and sexy. Could you imagine being at a slumber party with Alex Kingston, Angela Basset? All the women of the Hot over 40 (45?) list AS gallery, all the needs met, ALL THE NEEDS!
Remember part of the music you listened to WAS the damn theme song of a show? I remember recording so many theme songs on my tape recorder and listening to it over and over (with some Hanson and 702, what-whaaaat!?!)
Once you have all your favorite people at your house in their pajamas, how are you going to entertain them!? I recommend always starting a party, even a pajamas party, with a little cocktail hour for mingling, sipping, and catching up. This also gives people time to trickle in as no one arrives right when a party starts it seems. Then, pick your favorite holiday activity to do as the main event! Here are my recommendations:
Everyone is in snuggly pjs so why not!? Have everyone write down the name of their favorite holiday movie on a piece a paper and put it in a hat. Then, draw one paper out of the hat and watch the winning movie!
There are two ways to do a Christmas cookie party. ONE: provide pre-made sugar cookies shaped in different holiday designs (Christmas trees, ornaments, candy canes etc.) and tons of different frosting, sprinkles, and toppings. Then, have everyone decorate their own cookies to take home! TWO: tell everyone to make their favorite/signature holiday cookies at home to bring to the party. Then, give everyone cute holiday trays at the party and have a cookie exchange. This way everyone goes home with a tray full of different yummy cookies made with love!

For a pajama party to be unique, why not try to have an outdoor pajama party like we had last time. We had our pajama party outside our home, three blocks away from tent rentals. Bay area is also a perfect place to have an outside pajama party as well.

As we head on inside, we find Blue chasing a firefly. Steve welcomes us in, saying that we should are here for the pajama party. He is ready, he has on his green-striped pajamas and bunny slippers. Of course, it would not be any fun if we just went right to sleep and Steve certainly seems to think so; he insists that he is not that sleepy, despite evidence of yawning. So before getting ready for bed, we have some fun. After watching Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper put Paprika to bed, we head outside, where we find Shovel and Pail listening to the sounds of the night and playing a game called Nighttime Flash and Find. We learn that there are some animals that stay awake at night. We identify an owl by its hoot, a cricket from its chirping and a squeaking bat. All of these animals are nocturnal; they are awake at night and then rest during the daytime. Steve then finds the 2nd clue on a lamp. Later, Steve thinks of a deep question: Just why is it that we have night? After the Mailtime segment, Blue and Steve became "Pajamanauts" and skidoo into space, where they have a chat with their old friend, the Sun and their new friend, the Earth and learn that the sun is always shining, but because the earth is always spinning, parts of it are in a shadow, away from the sun's light, thus causing night. After learning about night to day, they then skidoo back home, just as the late-night approaches. He takes off his blanket cape and puts it back in place. He then finds one last clue, which is a book, sitting on a table next to the front door. He draws the clue and sits on the Thinking Chair. The answer was: reading a book. Everyone gets ready for bed as they were brushing their teeth and Steve reads a bedtime book called "Goodnight, Bird" to the others. After reading, Steve sings the Goodbye song in a soft manner like he is having a fire drill. After they went to bed, the episode concludes.
