Paisley and Plaid
We offer children a place to belong and families a chance to breathe.
We offer children a place to belong and families a chance to breathe.
Sometimes children need a change of scenery. Sometimes families need a chance to recharge.
Paisley & Plaid Respite Services offers home-based respite care for children and youth in a warm, welcoming environment where safety, belonging, and healthy growth come first.
Our goal is simple: to provide children with meaningful experiences and caring support while giving families the opportunity to rest and reconnect.
Paisley & Plaid began with a simple belief: children grow best when they feel safe, accepted, and connected. As an educator and a social worker, we have spent our careers supporting children and families through challenges, transitions, and everyday life. We created Paisley & Plaid to offer something that can be difficult to find—a home-based respite experience that combines belonging, structure, creativity, nature, and compassionate support. Our goal is to provide a place where children can relax, play, learn, and be themselves, while families gain the time and space they need to recharge.
Every stay includes opportunities for:
Outdoor time every day
Games and creative play
Crafts and hands-on activities
Nature-based experiences
Emotional regulation support
Consistent routines and healthy boundaries
A welcoming and affirming environment
We believe children thrive when they experience both acceptance and structure. Our home is a place where youth are encouraged to be themselves while being supported in the skills needed for healthy growth and development.
Allie is an educator with extensive experience working with children and youth in classrooms, outdoor learning environments, and community programs. She brings creativity, curiosity, and a love of nature into many of the activities offered through Paisley & Plaid.
Kerri is a social worker who understands the challenges many families face when navigating support systems and community resources. She brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that supports both youth and caregivers.
Together, we provide a home environment built on respect, belonging, consistency, and care.
We are committed to:
