By downloading, installing, or using Pair Up Golf ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Pair Up Golf is a mobile application that helps golfers:
Find and connect with other players
Organize competitive matches and casual golf rounds
Track scores, statistics, and leaderboard rankings
Communicate with teammates and opponents
Discover golf courses
To use Pair Up Golf, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
You must create an account to use the App. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Update your information to keep it accurate
Keep your password secure and confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in termination of all accounts.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree NOT to:
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
Post or transmit offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
Cheat, manipulate scores, or engage in unsportsmanlike conduct
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
Collect or harvest user information without consent
Spam or send unsolicited messages to other users
Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these Terms, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the App, including:
Profile information and photos
Messages and chat communications
Match scores and game data
By submitting content, you grant Pair Up Golf a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the App.
You are solely responsible for your content. You represent that your content:
Is accurate and not misleading
Does not violate any law or regulation
Does not infringe any third party's rights
Does not contain viruses or harmful code
We may remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice.
You agree to:
Report scores accurately and honestly
Play matches in good faith
Resolve disputes respectfully
The App includes a dispute resolution system. Both teams must verify scores. Disputed scores will be handled according to the App's dispute process.
Pair Up Golf does not facilitate, endorse, or support gambling. Any betting or wagering between users is done at their own risk and is not the responsibility of Pair Up Golf.
The App, including its design, features, content, and trademarks, is owned by Pair Up Golf and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the App, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution to you.
The App uses third-party services including:
Supabase - Database and authentication
Firebase - Push notifications
Google Places API - Golf course information
Tenor - GIF content
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
The App will be available at all times
The App will be error-free or secure
Results from the App will be accurate
Any defects will be corrected
Golf course information is provided by third parties and may not be accurate or current. Always verify course details directly with the course.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAIR UP GOLF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID TO PAIR UP GOLF FOR USE OF THE APP.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pair Up Golf and its owner and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third party's rights
Your content
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through Settings > General > Delete Account.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:
Violation of these Terms
Conduct harmful to other users
Conduct harmful to our business interests
Extended periods of inactivity
Upon termination:
Your right to use the App ceases immediately
We may delete your account and content
Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
We will update the "Last Updated" date
For material changes, we may notify you through the App or by email
Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@pairupgolf.app. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.
YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH US ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS ARBITRATION.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pair Up Golf regarding the App.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
