The first workshop on Parsing and its Applications for Indian Languages (PAIL) will be co-located with the eighteenth International Conference on Natural Language Processing (ICON-2021) to be held at NIT Silchar, India.

Papers are invited on substantial, original and unpublished research on all aspects of parsing and its applications include but not are limited to :

• theoretical foundations on parsing

• treebank creation and annotation guidelines

• linguistic analysis of treebanks

• treebank conversion and validation

• tools for annotation and querying treebanks

• downstream applications of treebanks and parsing: machine translation, question-answering systems, grammar checkers, dialogue systems, etc.

Proceedings

Papers in PAIL workshop proceedings will be indexed in ACL Anthology. ACL Anthology is a digital archive of research papers in Computational Linguistics for major international conferences under the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL).

Paper length

Short papers can be up to 4 pages in length and long papers up to 8 pages. Both submission formats can have an unlimited number of pages for references. Upon acceptance, papers will be given 1 additional content page to accommodate reviews in the proceedings.

Double-Blind Reviews

The submissions must be anonymous and will be peer-reviewed by at least two experts. The peer review is double-blinded. Please refer the main conference site for more information.

Both long and short papers must follow the ACL Author Guidelines
