PAH!

Well, it feels like just yesterday that we were celebrating the end of the school year, our last AP exam behind us, the idea of summer just over the horizon. For some of us, that summer might have been busy with even more stuff to do and new people to meet. Some might have even attended one of PA Homeschooler’s fun summer traditions: the AP Party, which is a week-long camp held at the Richmans’ house in Pennsylvania. It’s one of the best opportunities for past and present students to meet one another in real life! In fact, two former students who met there are now married– read about that here. 

I’m always astounded at the community built over this online platform. Not only do I get to meet incredibly talented people from all over the world, but everyone’s enthusiasm for learning and creativity is contagious from both teachers and classmates. And this passion not only shows within class, but for projects outside of class, too— like in Anna’s poetry section, Hope’s climate change article, and Ellie's book review. 

As the school year once again commences, I invite you to join and be part of this wonderful community, where imagination and intellect coincide. Although AP classes can be scary at first, never fear!-- we have some tips for dealing with time management (a vital skill for beyond high school). I have met some of my best friends through this program, and I’m sure I will meet many new friends in this upcoming year (and you will too). To be part of our next issue, submit here!
