PagePulse does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All processing happens entirely within your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
What PagePulse Does
PagePulse is a Chrome Extension that analyzes the website currently open in your browser tab and provides an SEO, Performance, Accessibility, and Best Practices report.
Data Collection
PagePulse collects NO data. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
- We do not record or transmit the URLs you audit
- We do not store audit results on any server
- We do not use analytics or tracking within the extension
- We do not serve advertisements
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties
Local Storage Only
PagePulse uses `chrome.storage.local` to save three things locally on your device only:
Key : `darkMode`,
What it stores : `true` or `false` ,
Why : Remember your dark/light preference

Why : Remember which tab you had open

What it stores : Last 10 audit scores for that domain,
Why : Score history feature
This data never leaves your device. It is never sent to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser extension data.
Third-Party Services
PagePulse loads Plus Jakarta Sans font from Google Fonts CDN (`fonts.googleapis.com`) for display in the extension popup. This is a standard web font request. No personal data is associated with font loading. See [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details on Google Fonts.
No other third-party services, APIs, or external connections are used.
Permissions Explained
Permission: activeTab
Purpose : Allows reading the URL and injecting the audit script into the current tab-only when you click the extension icon

Purpose : Required to save dark mode preference and score history locally
PagePulse does not request `tabs` (browsing history), `history`, `bookmarks`, `cookies`, `webRequest`, or `<all_urls>` permissions.
Children's Privacy
PagePulse does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. The extension has no user accounts and no data submission of any kind.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
