Effective date: October 16, 2026. This policy applies to Smart Data Extractor version 0.1.0, published under the display name PageNest Studio.
Smart Data Extractor helps you extract tables and repeating lists from a webpage you choose, preview and adjust columns, and download Excel, CSV or JSON files. Processing takes place locally in your browser. This version does not require an account or payment and does not include cloud synchronization, advertising or a remote analytics service.
After you invoke the extension, it reads text, link addresses and image addresses from the main page document's loaded content. It also processes the source page URL and title, extraction time, selected area and column choices. Webpage content, links and URLs may contain personal or sensitive information; they are handled only to provide the extraction and export features you request.
The extension does not read form input values, password fields, cookies, general browsing history or private JavaScript application state. It does not extract inside embedded frames or website Shadow DOM, retrieve unloaded records, request a website's underlying API or automatically visit extracted links. Image addresses are handled as text; the extension does not download the linked images.
Extraction results and column edits are held in Chrome's in-memory extension session storage. They may be replaced or removed to manage memory, and do not survive a browser restart or extension reload. Use Clear to remove the current result. Download files you want to keep.
Preferences are saved in Chrome's local extension storage. Optional local usage counts are off by default. If you enable them, the extension records daily totals for a fixed set of actions, such as scanning, selecting an area, correcting a field and starting an export. Counts do not contain page URLs, domains, titles, extracted values, column names or a unique installation identifier.
Usage summaries cover the most recent 35 UTC calendar days. Older stored counts are removed when new counts are recorded; there is no scheduled deletion while counting is inactive. You can disable counting, clear saved counts or choose to download a summary in Settings. Disabling counting stops new counts and does not itself erase previously saved counts. No summary is automatically transmitted.
Files you download remain under your control. Clearing extension results or counts does not delete downloaded files; you can delete those files yourself.
Version 0.1.0 does not send extracted content, page addresses or local usage counts to PageNest Studio or third-party services. All extension scripts and export libraries are packaged with the extension. It does not load remote scripts, remote fonts or page thumbnails.
Exported files contain your selected fields. Source URL metadata is omitted by default and can be explicitly included. Selected link and image-address fields remain in the export regardless of that metadata setting. Review files before sharing them because webpage content and URLs may contain private information. Activity on the original website is governed by that website's own practices.
PageNest Studio uses information obtained through Chrome APIs only to provide the extension's stated data extraction and export purpose, in compliance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It does not sell user data, use it for advertising or unrelated purposes, or use it for credit or lending decisions.
activeTab: temporary access to the current webpage after you invoke the extension from its toolbar icon.
scripting: run the packaged extraction and selection code in the authorized page's main document.
storage: keep local preferences, optional local counts and temporary extraction results.
sidePanel: display the preview, column controls and export interface beside the page.
The extension does not request broad persistent access to all websites. Navigating to another site may require invoking the toolbar icon again to grant temporary access.
This policy is hosted on Google Sites. Google may process standard website connection information under the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. PageNest Studio adds no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts to this policy page. The extension does not upload extraction results to this website.
Chrome Web Store may independently provide aggregated listing and installation reports under Google's policies. Those reports do not include the extension's locally extracted content.
If future versions change how data is handled, this policy and the applicable store disclosures will be updated. The effective date above identifies this policy version.
