PageDiff ("the Extension") is developed and maintained by Legendary Creation.

DATA COLLECTION

PageDiff does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data 

generated by the extension (watched page URLs, text snapshots, change history, 

settings, license key status) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's 

built-in storage API and never leaves your browser.

PAGE FETCHING

PageDiff periodically fetches the text content of webpages that you have 

explicitly added to your watchlist. This fetching occurs in the background 

service worker. The fetched content is processed locally, compared against 

your saved snapshot, and then either discarded or stored as an updated 

snapshot on your device. PageDiff only fetches pages you have chosen to monitor.

PERMISSIONS USED

- sidePanel: Displays the PageDiff interface in the Chrome side panel.

- storage: Saves your watchlist, snapshots, history, and settings locally.

- alarms: Triggers scheduled background checks on your chosen frequency.

- notifications: Sends a Chrome notification when a monitored page changes.

- host_permissions (<all_urls>): Required to fetch any user-specified webpage 

  for monitoring purposes.

LICENSE VERIFICATION

When you activate a Pro license key, your key is verified against the Gumroad 

API (api.gumroad.com) solely to confirm its validity. No personally identifiable 

information is transmitted during this process.

THIRD PARTIES

PageDiff does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

IMPORTANT LIMITATION

PageDiff can only monitor publicly accessible pages. Pages behind logins, 

paywalls, or CAPTCHA cannot be monitored.

Any updates to this policy will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
