OVERVIEW

PageCleaner ("the Extension") respects your privacy.

This policy explains what data the Extension does and

does not collect.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

PageCleaner does not collect, transmit or store any

personally identifiable information. No article content,

no browsing history, no page data and no personal

information is ever sent to any external server.

HOW THE EXTENSION WORKS

PageCleaner reads the content of the current webpage

only when you actively click the reader button or press

Alt+R to open reader view. This reading happens entirely

within your browser tab and the extracted content is

never transmitted anywhere. It is used only to display

the cleaned article to you on the same page.

DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY

The Extension stores the following data in Chrome local

storage on your device only:

- Your Pro license activation status

- Your chosen reading theme (light, dark, sepia, paper)

- Your chosen font preference (Pro feature)

- Your chosen font size and line width preferences

This data never leaves your device and is never

transmitted to any external server.

LICENSE VERIFICATION

If you purchase PageCleaner Pro and enter a license key,

the Extension sends that key to Gumroad's API

(api.gumroad.com) solely to verify its validity. No

other data is transmitted. This only occurs when you

manually click the Verify button in Settings.

PERMISSIONS USED

- activeTab: To access the current tab so the floating

  reader button can be injected when the user requests it

- scripting: To inject the floating reader button and

  reader overlay onto the current webpage when activated

  by the user

- storage: To save reading preferences and Pro license

  status locally on the user's device

PAGE CONTENT

PageCleaner reads the text content of the active webpage

only to extract and display the article to you within

the reader view. This content is processed entirely

within your browser and is never transmitted, stored

externally or shared in any way.

THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, share or transfer any user data to

third parties under any circumstances.

CHILDREN

PageCleaner is not directed at children under 13 and

does not knowingly collect data from children.
