Furthermore, it is very common for people to slow down exercise routines, outdoor plans, and general activity during this time. Similar to the tradition of emphasis on renewal, general cleaning and cleaning out of your altar, room, home, or community can be great ways to celebrate the energy of Ostara. Make sure to not let the old go to waste, however, and remember that much like the cycle of life, death, and decomposition, the items you no longer have use for are not necessarily trash. Thus, it is also a good time to donate to charity all of the things you don't need.

Connect with the true ancient traditions, and begin planting. This is a great time to start or renew a garden, begin compositing, or really just dip your thumb in green in any way possible. Further, cleaning up natural spaces to help the fledgling life sprouting about find it's way in a slightly cleaner world is also a great way to celebrate Ostara.
