After being delayed by the first national lockdown in 2020, Bryce started with us in May 2020 as our sole pastor,  joined by wife Carol, and their son.
Previously Bryce was a pastor in Baptist churches in Napier, Taupo and Royal Oak, mainly focused on youth ministry, but since pastoral work is seldom limited to job descriptions, he was engaged in other areas of the church - preaching, leadership, community events; as well as working in schools  as a chaplain, with student support and various programmes, and with different community groups too.
Bryce is a graduate of Carey Baptist College, he preaches a pretty good message and cooks a pretty good meal, and believes, talks about and tries to model the church getting out from behind our walls and engaging in Kingdom-shaped relationships and actions in our local community and beyond.
