This Privacy Policy explains how Paece (“Paece,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Paece mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture. If you continue as a guest, Firebase creates an anonymous user ID so the app can store your activity and profile data.

Profile and Social Information

You may choose to add a profile photo, banner, hometown, squads, posts, comments, likes, followers, following, and activity visibility settings. Public profile details and public activities may be visible to other users.

Location Data

Paece collects precise location data while you use map, route planning, pin drop, local community, and activity tracking features. Location data is used to show your position on the map, track your route, calculate distance, draw route lines, suggest nearby athletes or squads, and support local leaderboards and community runs.

Paece does not currently request background location permission. If background tracking is added in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required in-app disclosure and consent before collecting background location data.

Fitness and Health Data

With your permission, Paece may access supported Android Health Connect data, including steps, distance, and heart rate. This data is used to show fitness analytics, wearable-supported activity stats, and training insights.

Photos, Camera, and Media

Paece requests access to your camera and photo library so you can upload profile images, squad logos, banners, and save generated run cards to your device gallery.

Activity Data

We collect activity details such as distance, time, pace, elevation, calories, activity type, GPS route, run card image, activity privacy status, and related post information.

Device, Usage, and Advertising Data

Third-party services used in the app may collect device and usage information such as IP address, diagnostics, app interactions, crash data, and Android advertising identifiers for authentication, ads, analytics, fraud prevention, and app security.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

- Create and manage your account.

- Track runs, walks, cycling, trekking, and other supported activities.

- Draw route maps and calculate distance, pace, elevation, and calories.

- Save and display run cards.

- Operate feeds, profiles, comments, likes, followers, squads, leaderboards, notifications, and community features.

- Show local suggestions based on your selected or detected area.

- Sync and display Health Connect or wearable-supported fitness metrics.

- Improve app performance, reliability, safety, and abuse prevention.

- Serve advertisements through supported advertising partners.

3. Health Connect Data

Paece uses Health Connect data only for fitness tracking, wearable sync, and analytics features shown inside the app.

We do not sell Health Connect data.

We do not share Health Connect data with advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

We do not use Health Connect data for credit, insurance, employment, lending, or eligibility decisions.

Health Connect data is handled securely and transmitted using encrypted connections.

4. Third-Party Services

Paece uses third-party services that may process data according to their own policies:

Google Sign-In and Google Play Services: authentication and Android app functionality.

Firebase Auth, Firestore, and Storage: account management, database records, activity logs, uploaded images, and user-generated content.

Google Maps: map rendering and route/map features.

Android Health Connect: fitness and health data access with your permission.

Google AdMob: advertising. AdMob may process advertising identifiers, IP address, diagnostics, and interaction data. You can limit or reset advertising identifiers in Android settings.

5. Sharing and Visibility

Public Activities and Profiles

If your profile or activity is public, other users may see your display name, profile photo, public stats, route/activity summary, posts, comments, likes, squads, and leaderboard position.

Private Settings

You can make your profile private and can make individual activities private where the app provides that option. Private activities are not intended to appear in the public feed or public leaderboards.

Service Providers

We may share data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as Firebase, Google Maps, Google Sign-In, Health Connect, and AdMob.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our rights.

6. Data Security

We use Firebase and Google Cloud services that support encrypted data transmission. We use security rules and access controls to help protect user data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account, profile, activity, social, and uploaded content data while your account is active or as needed to provide app features.

You can delete individual activities or posts where the app provides deletion controls. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, including location, health, profile, and activity data, contact us at:

We may retain limited information if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational reasons.

8. Children’s Privacy

Paece is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Your Choices

You can:

- Grant or deny location, camera, photos, and Health Connect permissions.

- Make your profile private.

- Make supported activities private.

- Remove followers.

- Delete supported posts or activities.

- Request account and data deletion by contacting us.

If you deny certain permissions, some app features may not work, such as route tracking, map features, image uploads, run card saving, or wearable analytics.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide notice in the app.
