About PSQ
Paducah Stitch ‘n Quilt Guild was formally organized in 1981 for the purpose of increasing members’ knowledge of quilting and promoting general awareness of the art.
Education has been a primary focus of the guild since its very beginning. Monthly business meetings are followed by various programs, demonstrations, lectures and trunk shows designed to perpetuate the art of quilting and contribute to our members’ growth and enrichment In addition, full-day workshops and classes, and multi-day retreats are routinely scheduled. Work sessions provide the perfect opportunity for newer quilters to bring their own projects and glean from the knowledge and encouragement of the more experienced.
Since Paducah is home to the National Quilt Museum, our members have a unique opportunity to serve the local community and the national quilt community at the same time. From gallery volunteers to Quilt Camp for Kids volunteers, our members are privileged to help support the museum and appreciate its presence and positive influence in the local community.
Our members also reach out to the community and beyond by participating in three main service projects:
Bags of Love – Quilts are made and donated to foster children in the Paducah area.
Kidney Comforters – Quilts are made and donated to dialysis patients.
Veterans – Quilts are made and donated to veterans in local care centers..
You can help us make a difference – one quilt at a time. We welcome anyone interested and encourage you to become an active member of Paducah Stitch ‘n Quilt Guild.
