Explore the waterways of Schooner Creek, Siletz River and Siletz Bay Wildlife Refuge. Home to a variety of wildlife, you’ll find harbor seals, bald eagles, and multitudes of birds. This area represents some of the most photogenic estuarine habitat along the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway

Cascade Head
The Nature Conservancy Interpretive Trail is two miles long and moderately difficult. The southern view of the coast and Salmon River Estuary is spectacular. Take Three Rocks Road north of Lincoln City to Knight Park. The trailhead is a short walk away. Looking for more? Explore Harts Cove just to the north.
Drift Creek Falls
Accessible north of Lincoln City via Hwy 18 or south by Drift Creek Road, this 3-mile out and back hike features a 240-foot suspension bridge with superb views of the falls. This moderate hike is in a day use fee area with on-site parking available.
The Knoll
A moderately difficult 1.5-mile uphill hike, rewarded by gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and southern coastline. Head north on NE Devils Lake Blvd from Hwy 101. Follow the road until you reach a cul-de-sac. Park on the street, and the trailhead is just beyond the road.
Gray whales can be spotted along the Oregon Coast year-round and even more often during their migration in the spring and winter. Get an up close experience by taking a charter out to sea for a viewing tour of these majestic mammals. Head just a few miles south to Depoe Bay and you’ll find folks happy to help.
