When past tree work leaves damage behind, we step in to fix it. This tree was suffering from a dead top due to improper trimming. We climbed, assessed, and restored it to full health, ensuring its longevity and safety. At Pactolus and Sons, we don’t just clear land—we give it back its life.
In this project, we took on land that was overgrown with brush, briars, and trash. With hard work and determination, we cleared the way for new possibilities. Whether it’s a small yard or a large property, Pactolus and Sons transforms overgrown, unusable spaces into land ready for a fresh start.

My name is Brandon La Voie, and I founded Pactolus and Sons with a vision to transform neglected land into thriving, sustainable ecosystems. My journey into ecosystem restoration began over 8 years ago, driven by a desire to protect the land that has given so much to my family. Through my studies with Gaia Education and years of hands-on experience, I’ve developed the skills and knowledge needed to restore balance to damaged landscapes.
Growing up in Eastern Kentucky, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact that neglect and misuse can have on our land and waterways. But I’ve also seen the resilience of nature and the power of hard work to bring it back to life. It’s this combination of passion and experience that fuels every project we take on.
This is more than just a business for us—it's a mission to leave something meaningful behind for my three boys. I want them to grow up seeing the value of hard work, stewardship, and the belief that we can always reclaim and restore what’s been lost. That’s why our team at Pactolus and Sons is dedicated to doing the job right, whether it’s clearing brush, restoring waterways, or creating animal-friendly landscapes.
Every project we take on is a step toward building a better, greener future—not just for our family, but for our entire community. We’re here to bring new life to forgotten spaces, to create sustainable homes for both people and wildlife, and to do our part in keeping Kentucky beautiful for generations to come.
