REMINDER: DO NOT DROP OFF STUDENTS BEFORE 7:30a, AS WE WILL NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT STAFFING FOR SUPERVISION
There will be no Aftercare or Afterschool Activities until further notice
The Building will be CLOSED on Fridays (virtual instruction will be offered on Fridays unless otherwise noted on School Calendar).
Only those given explicit permission to attend school will be permitted in the building. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING ON OCT. 5th IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED TO DO SO. Contact your child's teacher or Mr. Garay (cgaray at pacsnewark.org) if you have questions.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL IF THEY HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:
Fever (anything over 100 degrees)
Persistent Dry Cough
Shortness of Breath
Fatigue and/or Body Aches
Sore Throat
UNIFORMS: For this school year, all students should wear GYM UNIFORMS when reporting to school:
T-SHIRT: PACS Newark-branded shirt OR White Shirt (NO MARKINGS OR BRANDING OF ANY TYPE)
SWEATSHIRT: PACS Newark-branded sweatshirt OR Light Grey Sweatshirt (NO MARKINGS OR BRANDING OF ANY TYPE)
SWEATPANTS: Navy Blue or Gray PACS Newark-branded Sweatpants OR Appropriately Sized Navy Blue or Gray Sweatpants (NO MARKINGS OR BRANDING OF ANY TYPE)
SHORTS (Weather Permitting): Knee-Length Navy Blue Shorts with PACS Logo or Plain (NO MARKINGS OR BRANDING OF ANY TYPE)
SNEAKERS: No light-up, florescent, glitter, sequined, studded, tasseled, patterned, two-toned shoes, socks or tights, or shoes with wheels will be permitted.
MASK: ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING A MASK THAT FULLY COVERS THE NOSE AND MOUTH; FACE SHIELDS ARE NOT A REPLACEMENT, BUT MAY BE WORN IN ADDITION TO A MASK. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES UNLESS EATING/DRINKING.
ONLY BRING TO SCHOOL THOSE SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS REQUESTED BY TEACHERS.
FOR THOSE BRINGING SNACKS OR LUNCH - ALL FOOD MUST BE CARRIED IN DISPOSABLE CONTAINERS; DO NOT SEND STUDENTS WITH REUSABLE LUNCH BAGS/LUNCH BOXES/TUPPERWARE/THERMOSES, etc.
To ensure the safety of everyone in our community, all families must do the following before they can send their children to the building (see Remote Resources page for links):
Respond to our resurvey confirming the option for In-Person instruction (These families have ALREADY opted in)
Complete the 2020-2021 Emergency Contact form providing at least 3 emergency contacts
Turn in all necessary health forms/ immunization documentation
Returning families must have an Enrollment Contract for 2020-20201 in file, new families must have all registration documents completed
Returning families must submit one form of address verification and new families must submit 3 documents providing address verification
COVID 19 testing was required for all staff that are entering the building, we do not require testing for students but encourage all families that are comfortable to test prior to returning to the building on October 5th (knowledge is power)
