A collaborative creation featuring a combined PACMAN logo crafted by Siddharth Rout and Timon S. Gutleb! 🎨👏
This logo was made by solving Poisson's equation Δu = f on the Pacman domain with a finite elements approach, where f is 'carefully chosen' random noise to create the desired Pacman eye while retaining an organic look. The visualized mesh is the actual finite elements mesh that was used, with a lot of refinement around potential problem points and less refinement along the well-behaved straight edges. The UBC logo plays the roll of a pellet for Pacman to eat.

I have broken down the pacman into 6 sectors, trying to accommodate various areas.
Anti-clockwise from the top pie:
Mechanics (Numerical Methods)
Bio-math (Reaction Diffusion Systems)
Linear Methods (Matrices)
Bioinformatics (Graph Theory)
Nonlinear dynamics (Chaotic System)
Multiscale Methods (Octree)
