Effective September 8, 2026
This policy covers the PackshotAI website and the PackshotAI Chrome extension. Both are the same service, built by the same person, sharing the same account and backend — this single policy applies to whichever one you're using.
What we store
Your email, the photos you upload, the packshots we generate from them, and your credit balance.
What we never see
Your card number. Stripe handles payment directly — it never touches our servers.
Who else touches your data
Supabase (hosting), fal.ai (image processing), Stripe (payments) — see §4 for exactly what each gets.
Do we sell data
No. Never has, never will.
01
PackshotAI turns a product photo into a professional studio packshot using an AI pipeline. It's a solo-built service — one person is behind the website and the extension, and behind this policy. If you have a question that isn't answered below, the contact section at the bottom reaches me directly.
02
Your email address and password, handled entirely by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). We never see or store your password in plain text — it's hashed before it reaches any database we control.
The product photos you upload, the packshots generated from them, the project names you give them, and which studio angle you picked. This is the core content the service exists to produce and store for you.
Your remaining credit balance, a history of past generations (so your dashboard and the extension's history list can show them to you), and — if you subscribe or buy credits — your plan, subscription status, and a Stripe customer reference. We do not receive or store your card number, expiry, or CVC; that goes straight to Stripe.
The Chrome extension does not read the content of other websites you visit, does not track your browsing history, and does not request access to any site other than our own backend. See §5 for the exact permissions it asks Chrome for and why.
03
To generate your packshots and show you the results.
To run your account — logging you in, tracking credits, showing your history.
To process payments and keep your subscription or credit balance accurate.
To respond when you contact us for support.
To prevent abuse — for example, rate-limiting how many generations an account can run per minute.
We don't use your uploaded photos or generated images for advertising, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
04
PackshotAI is built on a small number of specialized providers rather than our own infrastructure. Here's exactly what each one sees:
Service
What it's for
What it sees
Supabase
Account login, database, and file storage
Your email, uploaded photos, generated results, credit balance
fal.ai
Runs the AI models that remove backgrounds and generate the studio shot
The photo being processed, briefly, to produce the result
Stripe
Payment processing for plans and credit packs
Your payment details directly — we never receive them
Resend
Delivers email if you contact support through the site
Your email address and message, only if you use the contact form
05
Chrome extensions have to declare upfront what they can access. Here's what PackshotAI asks for and why — nothing more:
storageKeeps you signed in between popup opens, stored only on your own device.
alarmsWakes the extension periodically to refresh your session and credit badge — no data leaves your device from this.
fsexjemnztcxrpfpsmin.supabase.coThe one host it's allowed to talk to — our own backend. It cannot read or inject anything into other websites.
06
Your photos, generated results, and account data are kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting a generation from your dashboard removes its files and record. Deleting your account removes your data entirely — contact us and we'll take care of it.
07
Delete individual generations any time from your dashboard.
Request a full export or deletion of your account by contacting us.
Manage or cancel a subscription from the billing page — this goes through Stripe's customer portal, so we never see anything you enter there.
08
PackshotAI is a business tool for photographing products and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
09
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top will update. Material changes will also be noted on the website.
