What is a genre?

A Genre is the type of music bracket that your music falls under. There are different types of music. Not just fast and slow, but they are based on the melody and country of Origin. Dance music in Jamaica is called Dancehall, in Trinidad its Trinibad and Soca, in Puerto Rico its called Reggaeton but its exactly the same, though different languages there is always a divide in music based on country of origin. You have RnB, pop, hip -hop , rap music with different tempos and style of delivery. Once there is a difference in country of origin, style, tempo, and percussion , they have to classify your music in bracket/genre to everything sounding similar. In this world music has been given names, these names are sometimes ancient. So if music in Haiti is named Ska, and it has its own percussion and tempo then it is its own bracket/ Genre. The same goes for Rap and Dancehall.

Packa Beatz music is Packa Beatz music, there is no specific genre to our music. Some day there might be a genre called Packa Beatz. Jacob Winston Foster makes music based on his soul.
