To Parents, Scouts and Families of Pack 913:
I have had the extraordinary privilege of serving Pack 913 as a leader for five years. In that time I have seen that Cub Scouting is a program that endures and thrives through the participation of generation after generation of Scouts, their families and the leaders who step forward to serve. It is a program that in one word should be “FUN”. It should also slip into that fun the lessons of family, faith and morals. I hope that I have accomplished leading at least that part of the promise of Cub Scouting.
Having served alongside the many leaders of Pack 913, I am happy to know the Pack will have leaders who will continue to serve that promise. In the next few weeks, please let us know what we can do to help your Scout(s) achieve the rank they are currently working on and to set their goals for the coming year. Those weeks will also see us welcome new members, prepare for the coming of summer fun and the adventures of 2018-2019 scouting year.
I hope you will plan to join us for both the May and June Pack meetings. The May pack meeting will be run by the "soon to be legendary Cubmaster" Mike Schultz. Never fear I will be back to helm for one last pack meeting to close out the year in June. Seeing your Scouts earn their rank has been an important part of my service to the Pack. Seeing Scouts get their new neckerchiefs for the coming year is promise the more Scouting adventure is on it's way.
While I will head off to other Scouting adventures, I wish you Godspeed in continuing the awesome adventure that is Pack 913.
Yours In Scouting Services,
Cubmaster, Pack 913
