Pack 8 is a well-populated, diverse pack of motivated scouts and families. It has members from Willow Meadows, Willowbend, Westbury, Meyerland and beyond. It meets at St. John’s Presbyterian every second Sunday at 5pm and goes camping at various campsites in the greater Houston area twice a year. For most families, having the 1 hour meeting at the end of the weekend allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable scouting experience, as well as removing one more thing from our kid’s school week schedule.
Pack 8 is committed to offering the full scouting experience to its cub scouts, and offers participation in all district-wide scouting events. If you are looking to bring out the scout in your child, come visit us at Pack 8!

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
There are four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.
The methods of Cub Scouting are: living the ideals, belonging to a den, advancement, family involvement, activities, serving the community, and the uniform.
Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family. In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.
By welcoming both girls and boys into the program, even more youth will have access to the character development and values-based leadership that Scouting promises.
