Selling popcorn isn’t just about raising money — it’s a chance for our Cub Scouts to build real-life skills that last a lifetime. Here’s what they gain:
🔹 Confidence & Communication – Scouts learn to speak clearly, make eye contact, and explain their purpose. They also gain experience talking to all kinds of people — neighbors, friends, and even strangers — building social skills in a safe, supportive way.
🔹 Resilience – Not every person says “yes” — and that’s okay! Scouts learn how to politely take a “no” and keep going, knowing that eventually, someone will say “yes.” It’s a powerful lesson in perseverance.
🔹 Goal Setting – Whether it’s earning a prize or helping the pack fund an event, Scouts learn how to set and work toward goals.
🔹 Money Management – Keeping track of orders and handling payments helps Scouts understand budgeting, saving, and responsibility.
🔹 Teamwork & Pride – Every sale helps the entire pack. Scouts see firsthand how their efforts contribute to the success of campouts, events, and adventures.
Where does the money go?
About 70% of funds stay local — directly supporting our Scouts, pack activities, and council programs. Popcorn sales help cover:
Camp fees, Pack outings, Supplies and awards, Community service projects and more!
When Scouts sell popcorn, they’re not just fundraising — they’re growing into leaders.
