Cub Scouts is a year-round, family-oriented program designed for BOYS and GIRLS who are in kindergarten through fifth grade (ages 5-10). Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship, character development, personal fitness and leadership.
Since 1957, Pack 45 has provided opportunities for all kids in our community to try new experiences, build self-confidence, serve others, forge new friendships, and, above all, have FUN!
Our Pack meets 2-4 times a month during the school year, except holidays. Our scheduled "Pack" or "Den" meetings are generally held on Thursdays, 6:45 PM-8:00 PM. Additionally, we plan a monthly, weekend "Adventure" for the whole family -- hikes, campouts, field trips, etc. Check out our Calendars!
Regularly scheduled meetings are primarily held indoors at the Mine Hill Civic Center.
Location and other details of our Adventure are provided closer to the date.
Through structured activities, including hikes, camping, and service projects, Cub Scouting encourages youth to grow in confidence, responsibility, and leadership, all while having fun in a safe and supportive environment. Check out our Gallery!
The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Cub Scout uniforms serve a dual purpose, demonstrating that a Scout is part of a team and showing individual achievement (Scouts wear the badges they’ve earned). Wearing the uniform to meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance, and good behavior. -- Learn More
