Cub Scouts are part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) scouting program. Cub Scouting is designed to be fun with the aim of promoting character development, citizenship training, personal fitness, STEM and leadership.
What ages can join? This program is open to children from kindergarten through fifth grade or ages 5 to 10 years of age and their families.
The best way to find out what you do best is to do it. Catch a fish. Ride a bike. Set up a tent. Build a Pinewood Derby car. Shoot a bow and arrow. Cub Scouting offers boys and girls the opportunity to see and learn fun, new things that can’t be found anywhere else.
Cub Scouts are at that magical age where everything is new and possible and, most important, fun. They build things. Play with purpose. Make friends and work together. The life lessons learned here not only transform today’s Cub Scouts into tomorrow’s Scouts BSA members but also help form a foundation to embrace opportunity and overcome obstacles in life.
We are a small, but fun cub scout pack currently chartered with St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Youths do not need to be Catholic to join. We accept youth of all Christian religions. If you are interested in learning more about our chartered church, visit: https://sjtanrh.com/.
The Diocesan Catholic Committee provides our chartered Scouts and Scouters spiritual enrichment in the Catholic Faith using individual recognition in the Scouting Program, exploring religious themes during annual scout retreats, and offering each unit an opportunity to introduce religious considerations as an important facet of their unit's program.
