If you are interested in joining Cub Scouts then you have come to the right place!
Pack 304 includes families living in the Forest Ridge, Lake Forest and Sonoma neighborhoods. Many of our scouts attend Blackland Prairie Elementary school.
Pack 304 is part of the Chisolm Trail District in the Capitol Area Council.
When a scout joins a Pack, they are assigned to a Den. The Den will typically have a group of six to ten boys or girls. Dens are grouped by age/grade level:
Lion Cubs - Kindergarten
Tiger Cubs – 1st grade or 7 years of age
Wolf Cubs – 2nd grade or 8 years of age
Bear Cubs – 3rd grade or 9 years of age
Webelos – 4th grade or 10 years of age
Arrow of Light Scouts - 5th grade or 11 years of age
Children in Kinder - 4th grade can join Pack 304 at any time. Please contact us if you are a 5th grader interested in Scouting. Pack 304 leaders are present at many Blackland Prairie events such as Meet the Teacher Night, and we host Scouting Nights there as well. We recruit our Tigers (1st graders) in the spring of their Kindergarten year so they can participate in our summer program before they start first grade.
Each Den typically meets two times a month to conduct activities related to their advancement program. The location of the Den meeting may vary between a scout's home, a park, a trail, etc... Once a month all of the Dens and their family members gather for a Pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and the Pack Committee. The committee includes parents of children in the pack and members of our chartered organization, Palm Valley Lutheran Church.
You don't have to wait to join! If you are interested in finding out more information or would like to join, please contact us!
