A new Scout uniform (Class A Shirt, Hat, Belt, Neckerchief, Neckerchief Slide, and patches) can cost around $110 when purchased new. Please check with our Cubmaster to see if our Pack uniform closet has any of the items you might need. We collect donations from Scouts who have outgrown items or changed rank and give those items at no charge to families who can use them.
Pack T-Shirts (Class B uniform) are available for purchase. These are usually $15 and are worn by Scouts and Parents at most of our meetings and events.
If we do not have the items you need in our Pack Uniform Closet, please see if we have any unexpired Camp Cards available. Those often have a coupon for the Scout Shop which will save you a percent on items purchased while using it.
For a full list of uniform requirements, please see "Uniform & Handbook" under our resources tab.

Pack Dues are used to cover the costs of awards and recognition, crafts, and special events. Most local packs have dues.
Packs 304 covers these cost by conducting multiple fundraisers throughout the year.
Pack 304 does not charge dues however we do have an annual fundraising goal of $175 profit per Scout. We offer multiple fundraising opportunities per year and ask that each Scout earns their own way by participating in these events. As an extra incentive Scouts who earn above their their $175 fundraising goal for the year have the ability to earn additional money in their scout account which can be used to pay for recharter fees, pack activities, and other Scout related items.
Our Pack strives to make Scouting accessible to all youth and families who would like to participate. In order to do so, we have decided not to Charge the Pack level dues that many Scouting Units Charge. Instead, we set a $250 Fundraising goal for each of our Scouts. This goal will appear as a -Negative charge from our Pack in your Scout's Scoutbook Payment log. As your Scout fundraises with our Pack, their Payment log will show a +Positive credit to them. This credit is the Pack's profit from your Scout's fundraising efforts. After your Scout accrues $175 in fundraising credit, their Pack Activity fund goal has been met and they have "paid their way" for what it costs our Pack to supply them with materials and awards for the Scout Year.
Each fundraiser has a different profit that is earned by the Pack or our Scouts. Any fundraiser created by or supported by BSA National (Trails End Popcorn) or Aloha Council (Camp Cards, Hike-a-thons, etc.) have a predetermined profit percent our Pack can earn. Any fundraiser created by our Pack receives all proceeds after the cost of materials has been paid for.
Once your Scout's fundraising goal is met, they continue to earn credit on their fundraising efforts, but it is no longer the full amount, instead they earn 10% of the profit from their portion of the fundraising. This 10% accumulates in their Payment log and can be used towards recharter fees, Pack events such as Campouts, Council events such as Day Camps, or at the Scout Shop for items that can be purchased there.
We credit each individual Scout with the first $175 profit they earn through fundraisers or direct donations from friends and family to their Pack Activity Fund fundraising goal of $175. After that initial $175 is earned, Scouts receive 10% of all other profit towards their recharter fees or costs associated with Scouting such as Pack Campouts, Council Day or Overnight Camps, and items purchased through the Scout Shop (typically new uniform pieces).
As you might imagine, not every Scout is able to meet their $250 fundraising goal. Our Pack uses the funds from the other 90% of profit to cover other costs. This includes paying for all Adventure Loops, Awards, Patches, Event Medals and Ribbons, Pinewood Derby Cars, Camp Supplies, Den activity costs, Leader Training, Pack recharter fees, and Scout Scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay the National and Council level fees.
No leader is paid or earns any money for their time volunteering as a part of this Pack and we adjust the Fundraising goal to meet the actual cost per scout as determined yearly in our Pack budget.
This is a great question and is addressed directly in Section 7 of our Pack By-laws. Please read that section and let a leader know if you have any questions.
