Pack 304 will meet at Fort DeRussey Park. Please look for our Scouts with their Class A uniforms/Pack t-shirts. Den leaders post in the Den WhatsApp chats about our location within the park as we find a spot to meet up. If you need to call a leader, Josh will have his phone with him - his number is (808) 450 9685.
There is an opening ceremony at 4:15pm and the parade steps off at 6:00pm. Please plan to arrive at the park no later than 5:30pm. Keep in mind there will be a lot of traffic. In years past we have had families miss the parade because they were stuck in traffic going from AMR to Waikiki.
Pack 304 Cub Scouts marching in the Parade will be in their Class A (shirt with patches) Uniform. Parents and family members walking with our Scouts must be in the Pack Class B activity t-shirt. This is a rule of the parade organizers so they can ensure that the only people on the parade route are a part of the parade and not spectators. This also helps our group look organized and put together. Parents of Scouts with younger siblings are welcome to push a stroller/pull a wagon. If you do this, you might consider decorating your wagon in a patriotic design or bringing flags etc. for your younger children to wave.
The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade begins at Fort DeRussey in Waikiki. It proceeds down Kalakaua Avenue for one mile, then takes Monsarrat Avenue to the Waikiki Shell where an evening concert is held for participants in the parade.

It is recommended either teaming up with another family and parking one vehicle at the end of the parade route or having an adult drop the Scouts off at Fort DeRussey park and then parking the family vehicle at the end of the parade route as the Scouts are very tired by the end of the night. The other option is to park in the Hale Koa parking garage immediately next to Fort DeRussey/Hale Koa and walking back to the garage at the end of the parade.
Please bring a water for your Scout, good walking shoes, and possibly a snack if you know your Scout will get hungry. We strongly suggest eating before the parade as Scouts will be hungry by the end.
